Privacy Policy
Updated October 23, 2026
This policy explains how the individual developer of Doo Klotski (Doo 华容道) handles information in the game and on its website. Ad services depend on your installed version. The Unity sections apply to versions using Unity LevelPlay / Unity Ads; the Google sections apply to versions using AdMob / UMP. Also see the 2022 policy for older releases.
Local saves and iCloud synchronization
Base gameplay works offline and requires no separate game account. Progress, best records, lightbulb balance, and settings are stored on your device. Older versions use local saves. SwiftUI versions supporting synchronization also use Apple CloudKit to store progress, best records, lightbulb balance, and records needed to prevent duplicate rewards, spending, and purchase delivery in the current iCloud user’s private database. These records may include an app-scoped iCloud user identifier, an in-game account association identifier, transaction or reward identifiers, quantities, and timestamps. They do not include your Apple Account password or full payment-card details.
Synchronization supports play across devices and restoration of synchronized data after reinstalling. We do not create a separate developer-operated game account. The private database uses your iCloud storage allowance. If iCloud is signed out, the network is unavailable, or storage is full, base gameplay can continue locally; data not yet synchronized is not guaranteed to restore on another device or after reinstalling. Finite hint credits require cloud confirmation; permanent hint access works offline. Restoring a permanent purchase is verified through the App Store.
Apple provides iCloud storage. The developer cannot directly browse your private database through the CloudKit developer console. Deleting the app does not itself delete synchronized iCloud data. Use the iCloud controls provided by your system to manage synchronization and cloud data; available controls depend on Apple and your system version.
Unity rewarded ads and privacy choices
Versions using Unity LevelPlay provide rewarded ads through Unity ad services and partners. Preloading follows your in-game privacy choice. You may choose non-personalized or personalized ads. Using the iOS advertising identifier for tracking requires system permission. Change your choice through “Ad privacy” in the game. Completing an ad with a valid reward callback earns one lightbulb. Refusing personalized ads does not affect puzzle play or existing saves.
Unity ad data and third-party processing
Unity ad services may process IP addresses, approximate location, device or advertising identifiers, ad views and interactions, technical diagnostics, and privacy choices for advertising, measurement, maintenance, and fraud prevention. Unity and partners process this data under their own policies, potentially outside your region. See the linked Unity player privacy policy for details, retention, and rights-request channels.
Ads and Google services
Versions using AdMob use Google AdMob for rewarded ads and Google’s User Messaging Platform (UMP) for privacy choices. The ad service may refresh privacy status and preload ads at startup. Completing a rewarded ad with a valid reward callback earns one lightbulb; viewing a solution uses one lightbulb. Consent to personalized ads is not required to play the puzzles.
Data the ad service may process
Google’s ad SDK may process IP addresses and approximate location derived from them, device or advertising identifiers, ad views and interactions, app interactions, crashes, performance, and other diagnostics. These support advertising, measurement, analytics, and service improvements. UMP also processes privacy choices, regional information, and operational data to provide applicable privacy messages. Identifiers may be associated with a device; this does not reveal your real name to us. Processing depends on your region, system permissions, and privacy choices.
Your advertising and tracking choices
Where applicable, Google’s privacy message offers consent, refusal, or settings. When an ongoing privacy options entry is required, “Ad privacy” in the game’s lightbulb dialog reopens those choices. “Privacy policy” remains available. Access to the iOS advertising identifier requires permission through Apple’s tracking prompt. Manage that permission in iOS Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking. Refusing tracking does not affect existing saves or normal puzzle play. Ads are still subject to availability.
Third-party processing and retention
Google and its advertising partners process ad-related data under their own policies, potentially outside your country or region. See Google’s privacy information for their purposes, retention practices, and applicable safeguards. We cannot directly erase data Google processes independently, but can help direct you to its privacy controls.
Website and developer support
The website uses Firebase Hosting without embedded Google Analytics or website ads. Hosting may process IP addresses, requests, and necessary operational logs to serve pages. If you contact us, we use the email address, message, and attachments you provide to respond and handle your request. Avoid sending unnecessary sensitive information. Support records are retained only as needed to handle the request and meet necessary legal obligations.
Access, correction, and deletion
Email us to request access to, correction of, or deletion of support records, or to exercise other applicable privacy rights. We handle requests according to their nature and applicable rules, verifying identity where necessary. Deleting the app can remove local saves; synchronized iCloud data and system backups must be managed separately. Deleting local data before synchronization completes can permanently lose that data. Use the system’s iCloud data-management controls for cloud saves. We can provide guidance but cannot directly browse or delete your private database through the developer console. Use the in-game options, system settings, or the relevant advertising platform’s privacy controls for ad-related choices.
Children
The game is for a general audience and is not directed specifically to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If a guardian believes a child has provided personal information to us, please contact the developer.
